My name is Michael Humes and I have been working with Melissa as a part of the AK Pelvic Health and Wellness team since 2022. If you are a current patient, we have most likely chatted over the phone at least once or twice - if not, I cannot wait to connect with you!

My job is to make sure that every patient is met where they are and to provide assistance with anything they may need. That typically includes helping you connect with one of our therapists, scheduling appointments, and answering any questions you may have.

After living on the road and traveling the US for a year and a half, my wife, Emily, and our (incredibly energetic) dog, Murphy, have decided to make Brevard, North Carolina our new home. We love to be outside any moment we get and spend most of our time finding new trails to hike and mountain bike until our legs give out.

I’m so excited to be a part of this amazing team and can’t wait to help you find the pelvic floor treatment you need!

What Our Clients Say

Melissa was attentive to my needs and made me feel at ease. This is a fantastic women-centered practice where one feels understood and comfortable.

-Katya

Melissa was the 3rd pelvic floor therapist I have seen, and the final one! She was able to simplify what the problem was, and help identify a clear plan of action forward (without a bajillion kegels). She gave exercises that were easy to integrate into my life, and I was seeing results right away.
